CERAMICS NOW magazine features current show with Mandy Henson

Ceramics Now Magazine features Fiat Ignis III: Let There Be Fire with new work by Mandy Henson

We’re pleased to share that Ceramics Now Magazine has published a feature on Fiat Ignis III: Let There Be Fire, the recent group exhibition at Gallery 60 NYC — which includes several of Mandy Henson’s newest ceramic works.

Presented in collaboration with the New England Wood Firing Conference, the exhibition brings together twelve artists whose practices are deeply shaped by the time-intensive and communal tradition of wood firing. The article reflects on the exhibition’s spirit of collaboration, patience, and material honesty — and the distinctive surfaces created through flame, ash, heat, and unpredictability.

Mandy’s work is shown alongside artists including Pascal Chmelar, Gabriel Cordero, Frank Olt, Shinobu Habauchi, Kiichi Takeuchi, Trevor Youngberg, and others — highlighting a shared commitment to process-driven ceramics and the transformative energy of fire.
