The Will of the Kiln 2025

The ceramic sculpture Armored Corset by Mandy Henson will be exhibited in The Will of the Kiln 2025 at Buley Art Gallery, Southern Connecticut State University, 377 Fitch Street, New Haven, CT 06515. The exhibition runs from June 27 to July 12, 2025, with an opening reception on Friday, June 27, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Juried by renowned ceramic artists Hitomi Shibata and Nozomu Shinohara, the show is presented as part of the New England Wood Firing Conference. Armored Corset reflects Henson’s ongoing exploration of form, surface, and the symbolic tension between protection and vulnerability, rendered through the transformative effects of wood firing.
